Financial Counseling Education

Financial Counseling Education

"The widespread deficit in financial literacy has raised much concern among government agencies, policymakers, and leaders in the community and business sectors. There are several reasons for this concern. First, the number and complexity of available financial products have increased dramatically in the past two decades, effectively transferring a higher financial responsibility and risk burden to the consumer."  -National Financial Capability Strategy

Guiding clients, no matter their financial situation, through the life cycle of financial counseling to help them realize their goals and achieve lasting economic and financial well-being.

Individualize Services

Budget Planning

The budget unit helps participants understand positive budgeting and spending habits. Then, through practical scenarios, participants will learn to create monthly budgets, which can help them free up money for a long-term savings plan.

Saving Planning

After creating a solid budget, participants will establish their savings goals in this unit. Setting aside money from every paycheck builds a solid foundation for developing future wealth. Then divide your savings into specific categories: an emergency fund, a fun fund, and a long-term savings fund.

Debt Planning

The unit designed to help participants utilize The Cash Flow Maximizer System is similar to a bi-weekly or monthly payment, but it works much better. It is a straightforward process that requires only a simple calculator and some administrative work. As a result, you can use this system to pay off your mortgage and any other debt in a fraction of the time while dramatically reducing your interest expense and increasing your credit rating (FICO score) at the same time.

Account Management

In the unit, the banking process will be introduced. Participants will learn how to locate a bank or credit union with which they want to do business, which accounts they should open, and how to manage those accounts professionally.

Understanding Your Credit Profile

Participants will identify the correlation between their credit history and financial reputation in this unit. They will also develop a basic understanding of credit history and how to maintain, build, or repair their credit.

Financial Literacy Education

Our financial literacy programs focus on the personal finance skills most relevant to college, high school, and middle school students, as well as adults. In addition, we offer comprehensive financial literacy curricula for high schools, elementary schools, school PTAs, adult workshops, and seminars for churches and organizations.
